The graph shows that the current ID will flow for both
positive and negative values of gate voltage (VGS).
From the graph, the drain current (ID) is less than the CHAPTER 2
saturation current (IDSS) for the negative value of VGS.
The drain current (ID) exceeds the saturation current
(IDSS) for the positive value of VGS.
VGS=VP is also represented in this graph. The drain
current (ID) is zero irrespective of drain to source
