                                      S W I T C H I N G







                   Packet  switching  is  the  process  of  segmenting  or

                   breaking             down           a      message/data                  to       be

                   transmitted into several smaller packets.




                   Each packet is enveloped with address or labeled with

                   its  destination  and  other  overhead  information  to

                   ensure  that  it  travels  to  the  correct  destination

                   without errors.
